The Morton and Hamlin Fire Departments were dispatched to a reported camp on fire on Moscow Road, early tuesday morning. 2C21 determined that the actual location was on County Line Road, north of Moscow Road, and reported an exterior fire away from a structure. The Chief cancelled the Hamlin assignment. Engine 215 was directed to locate near the structure and firefighters quickly knocked down the burning trash pile. This was Morton's second illegal outisde fire, each reported as a more serious alarm. The first was for heavy, black smoke showing on the 18th if june which turned out to be a farmer burning planting boxes. The second one above could have been a lbor camp fire, but as reported, turned out ot be trash on fire at 1:00 o'clock in the morning. The Fire Marshal was called to this alarm and the home owner was given a warning to cease illegal burning of materials.
